Location: Horwich Leisure Centre
Hours: 9 hours a week – evenings
Salary: £16.90 per hour

The hours for this role are:

  • Wednesday, 16:15-19:15
  • Thursday, 16:00-19:00
  • Friday, 16:15-19:15

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Swimming Teachers to join our team at Active Bolton.

We are a local leisure charity that helps people in Bolton live healthier and happier lives. Our centres are welcoming places for people of all ages, and you will play an important part in keeping them safe.

About the Role

At Active Bolton, we believe everyone should have the chance to enjoy being active and feel confident in the water. We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic Swimming Teachers to join our team at Bolton Arena.

Swimming is an important life skill, and you’ll play a big part in helping children and adults learn, grow in confidence, and have fun while they do it.

No two sessions are the same. One lesson you might be helping a child put their face in the water for the first time, and the next you could be supporting a swimmer to achieve their next badge or improve their technique.

Most importantly, you’ll create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where everyone feels encouraged to do their best.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver fun, safe, and engaging swimming lessons
  • Help swimmers build confidence and develop their skills
  • Encourage and support swimmers of all ages and abilities
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable
  • Give feedback and celebrate progress and achievements
  • Follow health and safety and safeguarding procedures at all times
  • Work closely with colleagues to provide a great experience for swimmers and their families

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification
  • A friendly, positive, and approachable attitude
  • Good communication and people skills
  • A passion for teaching and helping people gain confidence in the water
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Right to work in the UK

Essential

  • Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification
  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification / National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches
