Active Bolton was set up by Bolton Council for the benefit of the people of Bolton, and has been at the heart of the community for 25 years! Our mission is to inspire people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, disabilities and health conditions to be as active, happy and health as they can be.

Active Bolton welcomes over 1.2 million visitors every year who take advantage of our excellent exercise, sporting and business facilities, confidence-boosting health and wellbeing programmes, and a range of classes that have something for everyone.
All our profits are reinvested back into Bolton Arena, so we can continue on building an active, healthy community for the Bolton people.

Bolton Active is a trading name for Middlebrook Leisure Trust which is a registered charity.
It is our mission to inspire people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to follow a lifelong passion for sport and healthy lifestyles through the provision of excellent sport & exercise facilities and sports programmes which are accessible to all.
Governed by a board of trustees, surplus revenues are reinvested into the facility, activities to benefit the local community.
