Base:  Farnworth Leisure Centre
Hours: 37 hours per week including evenings and weekends
Pay:£24,521 per year

Active Bolton is looking for friendly and reliable casual Fitness Instructors to join our team.

We are a local leisure charity that helps people in Bolton live healthier and happier lives. Our centres are welcoming places for people of all ages, and you will play an important part in keeping them safe.

Our centres include:

• Active Bolton Arena
• Horwich Leisure Centre
• Farnworth Leisure Centre
• Leverhulme Park Community Leisure Centre
• Sir Jason Kenny Centre – Bolton One
• Westhoughton Community Leisure Centre

About the Role

As a Fitness Instructor, you’ll be one of the friendly faces in our gym, helping members feel comfortable, confident, and motivated to achieve their fitness goals.

No two days are the same. You might be welcoming new members, showing someone how to use equipment safely, supporting a member with their exercise programme, or helping keep the gym clean and tidy. Most importantly, you’ll help create a positive experience where everyone feels encouraged and supported.

What You Will Do

• Welcome members and provide a friendly, helpful service
• Carry out gym inductions and show members how to use equipment safely
• Create exercise programmes to help people achieve their goals
• Offer encouragement, advice, and support to members of all abilities
• Help keep the gym and equipment clean, safe, and well presented
• Promote health and wellbeing activities and encourage people to stay active
• Support fitness events and activities when required
• Follow health and safety procedures and work as part of the wider team

What We’re Looking For

• A friendly, positive, and approachable attitude
• Good communication and people skills
• A passion for health, fitness, and helping others
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
• Right to work in the UK

Essential

• Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification (or equivalent)

Desirable:

• Level 3 Gym Instructor qualification (or equivalent)
• First Aid qualification.
• Experience working with customers or the public.
