As a leisure attendant, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone who uses our facilities. Whether people are visiting for sport, recreation, fitness or community activities, you’ll help ensure they have a positive experience from the moment they arrive.

About the Role

No two days are the same in this hands-on role. You’ll support the day-to-day operation of the facility, help deliver activities and events, maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, and provide excellent customer service to customers and visitors.

Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll help create an environment where people feel comfortable, included and motivated to be active.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Carry out duties in accordance with Active Bolton Arena’s quality procedures.

· Set up and dismantle internal and external equipment so facilities are ready for customers.

· Provide a friendly, professional and welcoming service to customers and visitors.

· Assist with customer enquiries, admissions and the control of admissions.

· Support the delivery of competitions, tournaments, coaching programmes, activities and community events.

· Observe facility activity, report operational issues, and escalate any faults, defects or hazards immediately.

· Maintain cleanliness and tidiness across internal, external and storage areas.

· Encourage, assist and motivate users to make use of the facilities.

· Take receipt of deliveries in line with written procedures.

· Follow Active Bolton’s health and safety procedures and assist with emergency responses when necessary.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive working environment.

· Experience delivering excellent customer service.

· Experience working effectively as part of a team.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Reliable with excellent timekeeping.

· Positive, enthusiastic and proactive attitude.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage a variety of tasks.

· Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Desirable

· Experience working in a leisure, sports, recreation or customer-focused environment.

· Sports, leisure or fitness-related qualifications.

· Coaching or activity leadership qualifications.

· First Aid qualification.

· Basic IT skills and experience using booking or leisure management systems.

Additional Information

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

The role may require evening, weekend and holiday working to meet operational requirements. The post holder may also be required to undertake physically demanding tasks, including setting up and moving equipment.
