Support a Healthy Lifestyle
Regular participation in Park Yoga can inspire healthier habits beyond the class itself. Many participants find they become more active, mindful, and focused on their overall health.
I remember my first session clearly. It began in warm sunshine, then partway through a light shower came over. I found myself lying there thinking, "What am I doing here? I could be at home with a brew." But then something shifted. I embraced the moment, stayed with it, and ended up really connecting with the experience.
I decided to try Park Yoga after hearing about the free sessions on a Sunday morning sponsored by Bolton Council, and as someone completely new to yoga, I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought I'd give it a go, I'm so glad I did, because I absolutely love it.
That moment sums up what yoga has become for me. It's not about being bendy or flexible, it's about listening to your body, being present, and connecting with nature in a way that's both calming and energising. Park Yoga has opened something up for me that I didn't expect, and it's been such a positive addition to my routine. I really hope this initiative can continue beyond the current end date in September, so more people like me have the chance to discover it and benefit from it.
