Active Bolton is looking for friendly and reliable casual Lifeguards to join our team.

We are a local leisure charity that helps people in Bolton live healthier and happier lives. Our centres are welcoming places for people of all ages, and you will play an important part in keeping them safe.

Our centres include:

• Horwich Leisure Centre
• Farnworth Leisure Centre
• Sir Jason Kenny Centre – Bolton One
• Westhoughton Community Leisure Centre

About the Job

As a Lifeguard, your main job is to keep people safe in and around the pool.

You supervise our swimming pools, carry out regular safety checks, respond quickly if someone needs help, and make sure everyone feels welcome and supported.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to make a positive difference every day.

What You Will Do

• Watch over the swimming pool and poolside area
• Help keep customers safe at all times
• Respond calmly and quickly in emergencies
• Carry out regular checks and poolside duties
• Offer friendly help and support to customers
• Help keep the centre clean, safe and welcoming

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• Friendly and approachable
• Calm under pressure
• Reliable and professional
• Good at working with people
• Happy working as part of a team

Essential:

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)

Desirable:

• First Aid qualification.
• Experience working with customers or the public.
• Experience in a community or charity setting.
• Pool Plant Operators Qualification
• Qualification in sport / leisure related area
